Overview

Sales Engineer / Automation Sales Specialist / Account Manager – Cincinnati, Ohio. Base salary $117,000 - $125,000 + commission. This role is remote within Ohio, selling to machine builders and manufacturing plants to identify process improvements and deliver technical automation solutions.

This position suits a commercially driven technical sales professional who enjoys prospecting, developing accounts, understanding customer challenges, and presenting practical solutions both remotely and face to face.

• Manage existing and new customer relationships across Ohio.
• Engage with customers and prospects on industrial automation solutions, engineering products, sensors, machine vision, IIoT solutions, control panel products, etc.
• Sell to machine builders and manufacturing plants.
• Define customer challenges clearly and support the development of suitable automation solutions.
• Plan: 3 days of customer visits, 2 days in the office.
• Use technical product and application knowledge to solve industrial automation challenges.
• Communicate with customers through web conferences, Linked In, phone calls, and in-person meetings.
• Attend customer sites for larger projects to evaluate machinery, review applications and present solutions.

• Experience as a Sales Engineer, Sales Manager, Sales Representative, Sales Executive, Business Development Engineer, Account Manager, Automation Sales Specialist, Outside sales, or similar roles.
• Technical sales experience, ideally within industrial automation, engineering products, sensors, machine vision or related technical products.
• Degree-qualified – Engineering, technical or business-related.
• Experience selling to machine builders, manufacturing plants or automation-led environments would be beneficial.
• Must be based in Ohio and willing to cover the region.

• Base salary $117,000 - $125,000 + commission.
