3-5 year strong graduate degree in ecology, biology, or related field, with strong appreciation for wildlife disease management. The position is a 2‑year postdoctoral associate focused on modeling and practical application of sarcoptic mange control in wildlife. Work will be conducted in the Odum School of Ecology at the University of Georgia.

• Design and conduct research on infectious disease management (70%)
• Write scholarly articles and present research (20%)
• Assist with collaborative projects (10%)

• Proficient with coding (e.g., R) and mathematical/statistical modeling
• Experience working with wildlife, including surveying or handling, and familiarity with wildlife pathogens
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders on ground disease management problems
• Ability to translate modeling frameworks to a variety of host species and produce data‑informed management guidelines

Physical demands include driving as needed for job duties. Position requires a valid driver’s license. Background investigation, credit check, and potential drug test may be required as part of the hiring process.
