The roleWe are seeking a Senior Sales Leader – Ohio or Pennsylvania to sell our Identity Security Solution. This leader will manage the Enterprise sales team and provide matrix leadership across supporting functions.
The position requires a successful track record of leading sales teams within high‑growth SaaS or Cyber‑security organizations, ideally with experience managing transitions from on‑prem to SaaS. The manager must bring structure and rigor to pipeline and forecasting while acting as an inspirational leader.
Path to Success First month milestones- Approach onboarding sessions with a clear plan to maximize their value and gain necessary insights.
- Evaluate the status quo within the reporting structure, focusing on people, process, cadence, and structure.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to identify candidates for open requisitions and develop a plan/pipeline for backfills.
- Coordinate meetings with key leadership and relevant peers, ensuring thorough preparation.
- Engage with and establish relationships with key supporting functions beyond your reporting structure.
- Familiarize yourself with our products, success stories, and key differentiators; articulate the SailPoint value proposition confidently.
- Earn the “1st Mate” enablement badge.
- Assess non‑direct support structure (people, process, cadence, structure).
- Evaluate the install base, target customers, and partner landscape.
- Arrange meetings with customers and partners.
- Review pipeline quality and forecasting, identifying short‑ and long‑term improvement opportunities.
- Develop a 12‑month business plan with milestones and primary actions.
- Present the business plan to the manager and region‑specific Leadership Team.
- Identify the first new hire and confirm start dates.
- Collaborate with marketing and the partner team to identify white‑space opportunities in existing customers and new logo prospects, especially those with compliance or governance needs.
- Earn the “Sailing Master” and “Quarter Master” enablement badges.
- Develop a 3‑year plan with milestones and primary actions.
- Refine people, process, cadence, and structure to support the plan.
- Demonstrate measurable improvements in process and results across the four focus areas.
- Earn the “Captain” enablement badge.
- Confirm on‑track status with established plans, building a foundation for sustained growth.
- Refine and update the three‑year plan based on current progress.
- Enhance people, process, cadence, and structure to ensure continued alignment.
- Maintain rigorous forecasting for ongoing accuracy.
- Identify white‑space opportunities across existing accounts, uncover new customer prospects, and pinpoint organizations requiring an IGA solution.
- Ensure the pipeline is at least 3× quota.
- Track record of leading sales teams in high‑growth SaaS or Cyber‑security organizations.
- Experience driving transitions from on‑prem to SaaS.
- Ability to structure and rigorously manage pipeline and forecasting.
- Inspirational leadership and coaching skills.
- Strong understanding of the IGA solution suite and identity security market.
