Network Analyst

Swagelok is a global organization focused on manufacturing talent in Northeast Ohio.

Responsible for moderately complex engineering and/or analytical activities within the telecom function, under general supervision.

• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot wide‑area connections across suppliers, distributors, centralized and decentralized sites.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise network, analyze traffic patterns and volumes, and assess national and international connectivity bottlenecks and cost.
• Participate in selecting, developing, integrating, and implementing network‑management applications.
• Monitor fault tolerance of network resources and ensure transparent file replication, dynamic access to applications and server resources, network address allocation, assignment, and management.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning related to network infrastructure.
• Configure and administer WAN infrastructure, topologies, and services; provide server and printer access; administer security and passwords; perform charge‑back and troubleshooting.
• Determine and resolve problems with network connections and components.
• Interact with customers and IT resources to establish WAN server project requirements and costs, promote and enforce organizational networking standards and procedures, and institute production standards.
• Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems, and provide off‑hours support as necessary.
• Maintain and update network documentation, diagrams, and inventory.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding information processed, stored, or accessed by the network.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience with WAN operations, including performance administration, high availability, reliability, security, fault management, and network topologies and domains.
• 1+ year(s) of experience managing WAN and firewall security policies and profiles.
• 1+ year(s) of experience in network monitoring and troubleshooting consoles (e.g., NetIQ, Open View, MMC).
• 1+ year(s) of experience with enterprise‑grade networking equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba).
• Experience with Windows directory and domain models, security and authentication services, file and print services, web and database services, media services, VPN/RAS/Radius, clustering architecture, and distributed client connections (e.g., MSCS).
• Administrative exposure to Server hardware platforms such as HPE.
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of SD‑WAN and network automation tools (Ansible, Python scripting).
• Familiarity with implementing and managing VoIP and unified communications systems.

• Normal office environment.
• Operate standard office equipment (computer, telephone, copier, printer).
• Communicate effectively in small and large groups.
• Travel between multiple locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania as needed.
• Perform job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
