Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Ironworker / Rigging Foreman to join our team at MECO and lead crews on projects across various job sites. This position requires a leader who can safely and efficiently oversee ironwork and rigging operations while managing daily field documentation and crew performance. This is a travel-based role. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of ironworkers and rigging crews on industrial job sites
  • Plan and execute rigging operations, steel erection, equipment setting, and material handling
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA safety standards, company policies, and client requirements
  • Lead by example in maintaining a strong safety culture
  • Conduct and document daily safety meetings, including Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Pre-Task Plans (PTPs)
  • Complete and submit all required daily reports, including production tracking, equipment usage, etc.
  • Manage employee timekeeping and verify accuracy of hours worked
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, and clients
  • Identify and resolve job site issues to maintain productivity and schedule
  • Train and mentor crew members as needed
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial ironwork and rigging
  • Proven experience in a foreman or leadership role preferred
  • NCCER certification required
  • OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of rigging practices, equipment, and safety procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job specifications
  • Experience with field documentation including JSAs, PTPs, daily reports, and timekeeping
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to travel regularly for project assignments
  • Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required
  • Willingness to work in varying weather and job site conditions
