Construction Technician​/Handyman

Overview

We are seeking a New Construction Technician/Handyman to manage and complete construction and renovation projects across our Hamilton region at Community First Solutions
. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Senior Director of Construction Management to prioritize projects, execute plans with precision, and ensure quality, efficiency, and timeliness. This is a primarily hands‑on, fast‑paced role – with opportunity to grow – where problem‑solving and a proactive attitude come together to create safe, welcoming environments for our residents and staff.

Pay: Starting at $22.00/hr, based on years of professional experience

• You can read blueprints and operating manuals, translating plans into action on the job site.
• You are safety‑conscious, able to work indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions, on rooftops, and on ladders safely.
• You communicate effectively with directors, subcontractors, and team members to ensure smooth project execution.
• You thrive in a physically demanding environment, capable of lifting 60 lbs, standing, walking, and stooping for extended periods.
• You are comfortable using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and basic internet applications.
• You hold a valid driver’s license and maintain active auto insurance.
