Carpenter – Ada, Oklahoma
The Carpenter will be responsible for acquisition and installation of materials, and monitoring jobsite safety in the Ada, Oklahoma region.
What You Will Do- Build barriers for various jobsite environments, including scaffolding, drywall partitions, wood/metal forms, cabinetry, and other structures.
- Prepare work area by removing obstructions, ensuring all materials are on site, and performing preliminary set‑up.
- Handle materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall, and use tools including chisels, planes, saws, drills, sanders, levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment.
- Erect and repair structures using nails, screws, staples, or adhesives; operate saws and other carpentry tools safely.
- Inspect work to confirm compliance with code and specification requirements.
- Follow epidemiology safety requirements (ICRA and PCRA) and other safety documents.
- Install Division 10 accessories in commercial settings (multi-stall toilet partitions, fire extinguisher cabinets, access panels).
- Implement wall protection systems, including corner guards, crash rails, and wall panels, adhering to design specs and building codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings; layout and execute installation plans accurately.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to coordinate workflow and ensure on‑time, on‑budget completion.
- Perform finish carpentry duties such as installing architectural trim, shelving, and other fixtures, maintaining high craftsmanship standards.
- Travel up to 60miles per day as required by project location.
- Minimum two years of carpentry experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of safety rules, tool and equipment instructions.
- Ability to take measurements and perform calculations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass required on‑site skills tests.
- Problem‑solving skills to address errors promptly.
- Organization of tools and workspace.
- Time‑management and adherence to schedules.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- Tolerance of heights and ability to work safely at elevations.
- Own hand tools (power tools will be provided by Christman).
- Additional carpentry experience beyond the minimum.
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel up to 60miles per day depending on project location.
