Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our team. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems used in commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise in refrigeration technology, strong problem‑solving abilities, and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of refrigeration systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in refrigeration, knowledge of refrigerants, and the ability to work effectively in diverse environments.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration systems and components.
- Conduct inspections and diagnose refrigeration system issues to determine necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration systems to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
- Replace faulty components and ensure proper functioning of refrigeration systems.
- Collaborate with customers to explain repair options and provide cost estimates.
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries and concerns.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols during refrigeration service and repair activities.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, expenses, and equipment history.
- Stay updated on industry trends and refrigeration technology advancements.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or in a similar role within the refrigeration industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems and components.
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to handle refrigeration equipment and perform repairs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to customer service demands.
- Additional certifications in refrigeration or related fields are a plus.
