Senior Quality Engineer

BCforward is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Quality Engineer

Note:

Candidate Must be willing to work on W2.

• API / Domain services testing
• Git
• Java
• qTest or similar test tracking platform
• Web Driver IO or similar Test Automation

• Proven experience leading manual and automation testing teams across multiple projects
• Expertise in test planning, estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Strong knowledge of test strategy definition, risk-based testing, and release sign-off
• Hands‑on involvement in test design reviews, defect triage, and stakeholder communication
• Experience mentoring and guiding team members on testing best practices and automation standards

• Extensive experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and continuous testing practices

• Hands‑on experience in test automation framework design, enhancement, and maintenance
• BDD Frameworks:
  Gherkin‑based test development

• Expertise in functional, regression, system, integration, and UAT testing
• Strong skills in writing test scenarios, detailed test cases, and execution reports
• Excellent defect analysis, documentation, and root cause identification
• Ability to independently handle problem‑solving and complex query‑based testing scenarios

• Ability to review, optimize, and standardize automation code across teams
• Experience building reusable and maintainable automation components
• Strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries for data validation and backend testing
• Hands‑on experience with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server
• Skilled in data integrity checks, joins, stored procedures, and reporting validations

• Experience integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Familiarity with Node.js for test execution and build automation
• Proficient in Git, Git Bash, and Git Hub for source control and test artifact management
• Extensive experience with qTest and HP ALM for:
  • Test case management
  • Test execution tracking
  • Defect lifecycle management

• Experience using Hashi Corp Vault for secret and credential management in testing environments

• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to balance hands‑on testing with leadership responsibilities
