Junior Computer Operator - Wright-Patterson Air Force

. ("Martek") has been awarded several long‑term Federal contracts to provide a wide range of IT talent. Our team is seeking a Junior Computer Operator to join our team supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) with High Performance Computing (HPC) Moderation Program and Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) DoD Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC) with the required education and experiences outlined below.

This position is located at Wright‑Patterson Air Force Base.

• Continuously monitor and respond to operating and error messages of equipment, storage devices, printers and control panels.
• Set up and run diagnostic tests and react appropriately to the messages and reports errors or machine malfunctions as required.
• May perform work incidental to machine operations such as maintaining production records, replenishing specified stock items, and distributing output materials.
• May work with multiple systems.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• Candidate must possess a Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• High School Diploma with 4 years’ experience; or Associates degree with 2 years’ experience in a related field; or a Bachelors degree (or higher) in a related field with no experience.

• Cray/Cray XE, IBM, SGI, Penguin, or customer architecture.
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or Linux variants operating systems (OS).
• Infini Band (IB), Intel Omni-Path interconnects.
• Portable Batch System (PBS), Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management (SLURM), or IBM Platform Load Sharing Facility (LSF) schedulers.
• Intel Xeon, AMD EPYC, or ARM CPUs.
• Nvidia graphic processing units (GPUs).
• ITIL Foundation.
