Position: CDL-A OTR Truck Driver (Ohio-Based)

Job Description Job Summary

As a CDL-A OTR Driver, you’ll run steady freight with modern equipment, practical routing (including no forced dispatch to NYC), and a benefits package available from day one—with clear opportunities to grow your earnings and ownership stake over time.

Compensation & Earnings
  • Competitive mileage pay: $0.55–$0.63 per mile (starting rate; based on experience/tenure)
  • Consistent miles: average 2,200–2,500+ miles per week
  • Bi-annual performance/pay reviews to support ongoing earnings growth
  • Additional pay opportunities:
    • Orientation pay (~$250)
    • Vacation pay (~$1,000)
    • Layover pay and stop-off pay (we work to ensure your time is compensated)
  • Unlimited referral bonus: $2,000 for every driver referral (no cap)

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Class A tractor‑trailer safely and professionally on OTR routes
  • Plan trips efficiently to meet appointment times and Hours of Service (HOS) requirements
  • Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
  • Maintain accurate logs and required documentation (e.g., ELD, trip paperwork, DVIRs as applicable)
  • Communicate proactively with dispatch and operations regarding ETAs, delays, and load status
  • Secure and protect freight as required; follow shipper/receiver procedures
  • Practice defensive driving and comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards
  • Represent the company respectfully with customers and the public at all times

Requirements (Must‑Have)
  • Valid Class A CDL (CDL‑A)
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Minimum 6 months of OTR or Regional driving experience within the last 3 years
  • Clean driving record (MVR) and strong commitment to safety and compliance
  • Ability to meet DOT physical and all applicable pre‑employment requirements
  • Reliable, professional communication skills and a customer‑service mindset
Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
  • Experience with long‑haul/OTR operations and trip planning for multi‑day routes
  • Strong familiarity with ELD systems and electronic document workflows
  • Proven history of safe driving performance and on‑time service
Work Environment & Schedule
  • Over‑the‑road (OTR) driving with consistent weekly miles
  • Routes are planned with driver practicality in mind, including no forced dispatch to New York City
