Responsibilities

Safe operation of buses on campus routes and occasional charters.

Complete paperwork associated with assignments.

Follow written and verbal instructions by supervisory personnel.

Occasional bus washing and other non-driving tasks.

Attend safety meetings occasionally as scheduled.

Duties and Time Allocation
  • 80% Safe operation of buses on routes and charters.
  • 10% Wash buses and perform other non-driving duties.
  • 5% Complete paperwork associated with assignments.
  • 5% Attend safety meetings occasionally.
Qualifications
  • Minimum:
    High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a Georgia Class B CDL (or equivalent) with air brakes and passenger endorsements.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Safe driving record.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
Physical Demands
  • Sitting for long periods.
  • Pushing, pulling, reaching.
  • Driving as required.
Background Checks and Drug Testing

Drug and alcohol testing required by US Department of Transportation.

Background investigation including criminal background check and possible credit check.
