We are seeking part‑time drivers for Butler County Regional Transit Authority (BCRTA). The position requires a Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement and the ability to operate 35' coaches and 25‑passenger cut‑away vehicles.
Hourly wage starts at $20.00 and can rise to $24.60 with verified recent transit experience.
Responsibilities- Safely operating a vehicle without distractions
- Providing excellent passenger care
- Working independently without constant supervision
- Following directions and enforcing rules
- Willingness to learn and use technology such as tablets and apps
- Reliability and punctuality
- Pass a DOT drug screen, DOT physical, and state and national background check
- Clean driving record (less than 4 points)
- Class A or B CDL with passenger endorsement is required
Paid training, 14% retirement match, medical, dental, vision, short‑term disability, life insurance, and up to 29 paid days off during the first year of employment.
This position is part‑time and does not qualify for full‑time employee benefits.
Location & ScheduleEmployees work out of Butler County offices in Hamilton, Middletown, or Oxford. Schedules may include up to 23 hours per day, Monday through Sunday, with a weekly total of 35 to 40+ hours.
