Stand Up Forklift Operator

Position Overview

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Stand‑Up Forklift Operator in Minster, Ohio.

• Base pay: $23.00 per hour
• .50 increase after 6 mo and 1 year
• Overtime pay: $34.50 per hour
• Shift differentials up to $4.00/hr on nights
• Productivity incentives:
  Eligible to earn up to an extra $10/hr
• Monthly attendance bonuses
• Sign‑on bonus: $1,000 paid in four installments at 30, 60, 90, 180 days

• Night shift options:
  Wed‑Sat 4:30pm‑4:00am or Wed‑Sat 5:30pm‑5:00am
• 44‑55 hours per week
• 11‑hour shift
• 2‑month schedule given in advance for family planning

• Warehouse positions pay each week

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year or more related warehouse or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid forklift operator's license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Team player and able to work within a diverse environment
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Must be punctual and have good attendance record
• Perform work independently with minimal supervision
• Possesses high initiative
• Demonstrates high accuracy even under pressure
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to work using health and safety methods
• Must be available for flexible schedule across various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading of trucks
• Deal with paperwork: picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hours
• Perform other duties as assigned
