Warehouse Lead: Operations & Quality Champion

Summary:

The Warehouse Lead supports the daily operations of the distribution center by helping the supervisor coordinate tasks and maintain workflow across the warehouse. This role serves as a point of contact for team members on the floor, helping ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with company standards. The Lead actively participates in warehouse tasks while providing guidance, supporting quality control, and promoting a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities Include:

Assist the supervisor in coordinating daily warehouse activities and maintaining a steady workflow.

Serve as a resource for team members by answering process-related questions and clarifying tasks.

Perform hands-on warehouse duties such as picking, packing, labeling, staging, loading, and material handling.

Assist in quality control checks by reviewing orders and materials for accuracy and condition.

Monitor workflow on the floor and help adjust tasks as needed to maintain productivity.

Report issues, delays, or errors to the supervisor promptly.

Occasionally assist in training new team members, when requested, in support of the training program.

Operate warehouse equipment (such as pallet jacks and forklifts) when trained and certified.

Support continuous improvement by identifying and communicating opportunities to the supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications:

2–3 years of experience in a leadership role within warehouse or distribution operations.

Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.

Proficiency in using computers and standard business applications is important. (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Excellent verbal, written communication skills, and strong attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Must be fluent in written and spoken English.

Physical demands

Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.

Must be able to twist, squat reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.

Must be able to use proper lifting techniques to safely lift up to 50 pounds
