Material Handler Warehouse

Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Warehouse Material Handler in Etna, Ohio.

Our Warehouse Material Handler will manage the movement and storage of materials in a safe, efficient manner at the Ryder supply chain facility.

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Manage day-to-day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, and maintain performance measurement guidelines.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• At least one year of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred).
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse environment.
• Highly thorough, dependable, and detail-oriented with good attendance.
• Strong initiative, accuracy under pressure, and excellent follow-up practices.
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs, stand for long periods, and work using health and safety methods.
• Flexible schedule on various shifts.

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

• Hourly pay $21.50 per hour.
