Benefits, Payroll & Administrative Specialist
We are working with a growing organization seeking a Benefits, Payroll & Administrative Specialist to support payroll, benefits administration, accounts payable, employee records, and general office administration. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, confidential, and comfortable serving as a helpful resource to employees, vendors, and leadership. The right person will be self-sufficient, able to manage recurring responsibilities independently, and comfortable working through questions or issues in a calm and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities- Support employee benefits administration, including enrollments, eligibility, open enrollment, COBRA coordination, employee questions, and benefits-related reporting.
- Assist with payroll processing through Paychex, including timekeeping review, PTO tracking, payroll reporting, retirement plan summaries, and employee payroll questions.
- Provide accounts payable support, including invoice review, coding, approvals, vendor records, payment tracking, and discrepancy resolution.
- Assist with employee onboarding items related to payroll, benefits, technology, and administrative setup.
- Provide general office and administrative support, including document organization, file maintenance, deadline tracking, and special projects.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee, payroll, benefits, financial, and company information.
- Help improve processes, documentation, workflow, and communication across payroll, benefits, AP, and office administration.
- 4+ years of payroll, benefits, HR administration, accounting support, or related experience preferred.
- Experience with Paychex helpful.
- Accounts payable or basic accounting support experience helpful.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working in web-based systems.
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail, follow-through, problem-solving skills, and a service-oriented approach.
- Comfortable working independently, helping others resolve questions, and supporting a growing office environment.
