Our client, an established commercial general contractor, is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial construction projects from construction through completion. This position will manage day-to-day jobsite activities, subcontractors, scheduling, safety, quality control, and coordination with Project Management. The Commercial Construction Superintendent will support projects across commercial, institutional, retail, and healthcare markets and must have experience working within a general contractor environment.

Some projects may require out-of-town travel and/or temporary relocation for the duration of the project.

• Manage daily field operations and jobsite activities from construction through project completion
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trade contractors, suppliers, vendors, and field crews
• Manage construction sequencing, look-ahead schedules, project schedules, and daily jobsite coordination
• Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, plans, and other construction documents
• Monitor workmanship, quality control, and compliance with project plans and specifications
• Enforce jobsite safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and construction safety standards
• Identify and resolve field issues and coordinate solutions with Project Management
• Ensure field operations comply with applicable building codes and construction requirements
• Coordinate jobsite materials, tools, equipment, deliveries, and site logistics
• Communicate project status, scheduling, field conditions, and construction activities with subcontractors, Project Management, clients, and project teams

• Proven experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent within a general contractor (GC) environment
• Experience managing commercial, institutional, retail, and/or healthcare construction projects
• Knowledge of commercial construction methods, construction sequencing, building codes, and field operations
• Advanced experience reading and interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, and construction documents
• Experience supervising subcontractors, trade contractors, and construction field teams
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices
• Experience using computers, laptops, and tablets in a construction environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with Sure Trak or similar construction scheduling software
• Ability and willingness to travel and temporarily relocate when required by a project

• Base salary in the 95k - 115k/year range
