As an MS Band/Music Teacher, you will create and implement a flexible program and classroom environment favorable to student learning and personal growth, developing lesson plans consistent with established guidelines and establishing effective rapport with students, staff, and parents.
Responsibilities- Creates a conducive learning environment appropriate to student maturity and interests.
- Maintains positive rapport with students, demonstrating patience and nurturing.
- Ensures the classroom is clean, safe, and displays student work as appropriate.
- Implements all relevant policies governing student conduct.
- Develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior in accordance with policies and maintains order fairly.
- Develops lesson plans consistent with guidelines.
- Plans individual and group activities to meet objectives and student needs.
- Prepares for classes and shows evidence of preparation on request.
- Participates in curriculum planning meetings.
- Incorporates diagnostic information into IEP planning.
- Takes precautions to protect supplies, equipment, and materials.
- Establishes cooperative relations with parents and guardians.
- Communicates clearly and positively with parents via appropriate mediums.
- Cooperates with administration and staff.
- Maintains confidentiality of student records.
- Participates in parent communication activities.
- Participates in extracurricular activities to support a positive school culture.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm for the role and the company’s mission.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written, listening, negotiating).
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
