Financial Advocate - Floater (Southshore)

Compensation & BenefitsSalary range: $17.00 to $19.81 per hour based on skills and experience plus incentives.

- Travel to any branch within the assigned region to provide member service.
- Greet and assist every member with a friendly, positive, and professional demeanor.
- Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and other transactions.
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve member and internal inquiries regarding policies, practices and products.
- Conduct consultative conversations with members to cross‑sell opportunities such as checking accounts, personal and auto loans, credit cards, refinances, and debt consolidation loans; refer mortgage and commercial loans to appropriate departments.
- Communicate information on credit union products and services and meet or exceed referral and sales goals set by the branch.
- Interpret credit reports to offer the best solutions to members.
- Efficiently process loan documents.
- Assist with branch opening and closing procedures, preparing currency and coin for shipment, verifying cash drawers/currency shipments/vault totals.
- Support branch operations by performing administrative tasks and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay informed about policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all credit union policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; follow security procedures; report suspicious activity.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
- Up to 1 year of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
- Experience in a sales and/or customer service environment.
- High school education or GED.
- Professional courtesy and tact; personal contact with customers and others.
- Knowledge of federal, state, local laws, statutes, regulations, codes, and standards related to the area of responsibility.
- Proficiency with database software and the MS Office suite.
- Regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, view customer information, and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to perform work indoors in a climate‑controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
