HIM Site Coordinator - Lakeview Hospital

GENERAL DUTIES

• Coordinates Medical Record processing of facilities onsite documents.
• Liaison for physician chart completion and assists physicians when necessary.
• Performs audits, provides trending reports, works with end users to improve compliance with accuracy of documents in the medical records.
• Coordinates Release of Information functions.
• Performs all necessary on‑site office functions.
• Provides education to end users with regards to the medical record.

• Minimum:
  Two years of HIM or other related experience with associate degree. No experience required with a bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred:
  Epic Experience.

• Minimum:
  Associate Degree in HIM or other related field.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s Degree in HIM.

• Preferred:
  Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).
• Preferred:
  Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize workloads.
• Meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent customer service skills. General office procedures.
• Ability to problem solve and work with minimal supervision.
• Computer experience.
• Typing ability.
• Demonstrate the ability to identify and resolve issues independently and communicate effectively with other team members and managers.

• Light:
  Light physical requirements‑ Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work.
