Overview

Position Summary: The field project manager is responsible for assisting the PM's in planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The field project manager will plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep upper-management informed the entire way. This will all be done within the confines of Kort’s Construction Services’ goals and vision.

Responsibilities
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to upper management about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Requirements

Physical Requirements: Requires the mobility to perform vehicle operating duties. The Field Project Manager at times will have a physically strenuous and demanding job. He/she will be lifting, pulling and managing heavy equipment and objects. The Field Project Manager at times will have to work in all weather, and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold.

  • Foot Protection - Safety shoes are mandatory on all job sites (steel-toe)
  • Eye Protection – Safety glasses are mandatory while working on-site.
