Job DescriptionTHIS POSITION IS A PART‑TIME POSITION WITH OUR RADIATION ONCOLOGY TEAM IN COVINGTON, LA.
ScheduleDay Shift - Monday, Thursday, and Friday.
ScopeUnder the direction of the Clinic Manager and Navigation Manager, coordinates new patient care/requests through new patient intake and scheduling for all physicians.
Facilitates the scheduling of all new patients with physician and nursing input along with patient access prior to their first appointment and works with navigation when appropriate.
Handles all outgoing referrals to outside physicians when applicable.
Functions- Nursing License:
Must hold a valid and unrestricted nursing license in the state of Louisiana. We welcome applications from both Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). - Educational Background:
- RNs:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution. Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) may be considered. - LPNs:
Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing from an accredited program. - CCMAs:
High school diploma or equivalent, CCMA certification.
- RNs:
- Clinical
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required; oncology experience highly preferred.
