Registered Nurse - ER - Limited

RN Limited Assignment

Temporary RN position serving approximately 12 to 13 weeks at LCMC Health. The assignment is located at Lakeview Hospital, a Level II trauma center in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.

• Prioritize, coordinate, and delegate all care touchpoints for patients.
• Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone.
• Monitor and engage with patients, families, and appropriate care team members concerning significant events or patient condition changes.
• Prevent and treat wounds.
• Monitor and execute Joint Commission infection control and environment of care requirements.
• Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communications, and an exceptional experience for every patient.
• Advise and consult with supervisor when unable to complete assignments or perform tasks promptly, effectively, or safely.
• Initiate patient and family education using appropriate resources and care services. Address patient questions and concerns.
• Contribute to the team by assisting others without being asked.

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Cardiac Performance Improvement (CPI), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications (new graduates must obtain within 6 months of hire).
• Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (required for CHNOLA and UMC ERs only).
• Emergency Nursing Practice Certified (ENPC) (may substitute for PALS at UMC or EJMC ERs).
• 2 years of Emergency Room experience and ER nursing knowledge.
