Job Summary:
Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/equipment, and other health care team members. Must be available in-house within 30 minutes when on call.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current LA RN License.
Current BLS and ALS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to:
Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.
PALS certification within 6 months of hire through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to:
Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.
Preferred Qualifications:
Combination of acute medical / surgical nursing required, and critical care or post anesthesia nursing preferred.
