Overview

We are currently looking for the right Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team!

Pay range: $10.00 to $13.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.72 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and troubleshoots customer inquiries and problems. Associates work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns hourly pay plus commission based on productivity. The final pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions per policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Explains the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective tools.
• Collaborates with employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training successfully.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods as required by law.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• Flexibility to work at exterior locations and retrieve products stored in exterior areas as needed.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
• Must be able to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
