Overview

WASTE PRO OF LOUISIANA is hiring technicians with a competitive sign-on incentive and a comprehensive pay range based on proven skills and capability. Responsibilities
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs and maintenance on all equipment, maximizing safe and productive operations.
  • Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) or repair orders.
  • Communicate with managers and drivers about vehicle issues, discussing preventive techniques to minimize future repairs.
  • Complete all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
  • Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
  • Maintain a high standard of ethics and dependability.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical, and hydraulic system inspections, diagnosis, and repair.
  • Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools and the ability to interpret and make repairs from service manuals.
  • Ability to complete work within Suggested Repair Times (SRTs) and estimate time and material required for repairs.
  • Experience providing assistance and guidance to assistant technicians and shop helpers.
  • CDL Class B (preferred within 12 months).
