Loading Arm Technician

Covington, LA:
Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an Experienced Loading Arm Technician to join our growing Marine Services Division. This position is ideal for experienced industrial mechanics with loading arm experience who can perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and rebuilds on loading arms and other dockside mechanical equipment supporting refineries, petrochemical facilities, marine terminals, and industrial operations.

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and rebuilds of marine loading arms.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain hoist cranes, overhead cranes, mooring winches, and other dockside mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and structural equipment issues.
• Complete equipment refurbishments in the shop and at customer locations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and lifting equipment.
• Complete service reports, inspections, and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Work safely in refineries, petrochemical plants, marine terminals, client shops, field locations, and the company shop.
• Travel to customer locations as required to support maintenance and repair operations.
• Follow all company and customer safety procedures and requirements.

• Previous experience repairing and maintaining marine loading arms preferred.
• Industrial mechanical maintenance experience required.
• Experience working in refineries, petrochemical plants, marine terminals, or heavy industrial facilities preferred.
• Experience maintaining hoist cranes, overhead cranes, hydraulic systems, rotating equipment, or similar heavy mechanical equipment is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
  
  Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Covington, LA shop.
• Willingness and ability to travel as project requirements dictate.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete customer-required screening programs, including ISNetworld (ISNet) and DISA, when applicable.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  
  Ability to work safely in refinery, petrochemical, marine, field, and shop environments.
• Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection when required.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel as business needs require.

• Pay:$22.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
• IRS mileage reimbursement for approved business use of personal vehicles.
• Company vehicles available for approved drivers following MVR review and insurance approval.
• Per diem available on qualifying projects based on client and project requirements.
