Part-Time Homeschool Teacher; Dyslexia in Covington, TN

Position Overview

Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person teacher with dyslexia expertise (Orton‑Gillingham‑certified preferred) to homeschool a 10‑year‑old boy in 5th grade at his location in Covington, TN38019, north of Memphis.

• Teach Monday‑Thursday mornings from 9am‑12pm for a 10‑year‑old 5th‑grade student.
• Plan and implement daily lessons using multisensory techniques and a parent‑approved curriculum.
• Support the student’s academic growth in a homeschool environment.
• Communicate regularly with the student and parents.

• Minimum BA and dyslexia experience.
• At least 3 years of classroom teaching experience with dyslexic students.
• Orton‑Gillingham certification preferred.
• State teacher certification and experience with special‑needs students who have experienced anxiety preferred but not required.
• Comfortable teaching all subjects at 3rd‑5th grade level in a homeschool environment.
• Own reliable transportation and cell phone, able to travel to Covington, TN38019 Monday‑Thursday mornings 9am‑12pm.
• Willingness to interview via live video chat and in person.

Pay $100/hr ($1,200/wk). Part‑time Monday‑Thursday mornings 9am‑12pm. Start in August for the upcoming school year.
