Ice Cream Basic Operator (12 hr Nights)

Background & Purpose of the Job: The Unilever Covington factory is a 24/7 high-paced dynamic work environment. We achieve goals through collaborative cross-functional teams in the safe and quality delivery of finished goods across the shift they are leading, making brands such as Klondike, Popsicle, Breyers, and Good Humor ice cream.

This position performs the routine duties of handling, packing, and casing product. The position will also regularly assist in line sanitation and production floor clean-up functions.

Base Pay Rate: $17.25 per hour with a $2.00 shift differential for working nights

Shift: 12 hours, 6pm-6:30am, 2/2/3 shift schedule pattern

What You'll Do:

• Perform all job functions in the safest manner possible.
• Perform all assigned steps in the production and packaging of product, including observing quality of product and notifying appropriate personnel of potential quality problems.
• Ensure compliance with all sanitary procedures and policies.
• Observe and correct product position to ensure safe and undamaged mechanical processing and/or wrapping.
• Pack finished product per count, assortment, and arrangement specifications.
• Case product cartons.
• Keep work area clean and free from obstructions, debris, etc.
• All other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Ability to learn all functions of assigned production lines quickly, as dictated by the production rate of the specific line.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or carry up to 35 pounds.
• Previous experience in a production environment and/or food production or handling is preferred.
