Our Opportunity

We are looking for an exceptional person for our Lead Fertilizer position at our Covington, TN Retail Agronomy Center Warehouse. Our culture fosters a connected work environment, employee engagement, and career development.

Summary/Objective

Responsible for supporting daily operations of specific product sets at the facility or location. Supports delivery services and storage arrangements, ensuring maximum utilization and efficiency of facility personnel and equipment while maintaining full compliance with regulatory, safety, and organizational guidelines.

Essential Functions
  • Follow all safety regulations and guidelines
  • Leads and supports a specific product set or specific area at facility or location and must comply with all OSHA, DOT, EPA, and GreenPoint Ag EHS guidelines
  • Directs the daily product delivery schedule to ensure an emphasis is placed on customer service
  • Trains, and motivates, personnel in operations such as loader operators, applicator operators and truck drivers on the safe and efficient use of equipment and vehicles
  • Receives and inspects incoming products for quantity, quality, and condition of product or equipment to help support location remain successful
  • Coordinates with sales representatives to effectively manage walk-in customers and in-store sales depending on size of location
  • Effectively run and maintain a thorough understanding of the Ranco fertilizer loading system
  • Manage inventory by accurately tracking, recording, and reconciling all materials to maintain proper stock levels
  • Perform routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting to keep the Ranco system running smoothly
  • Conduct quality checks to confirm fertilizer blends meet required specifications
  • Maintain a high level of expertise to establish themselves as a reliable and credible source for agronomic knowledge
  • Attain and hold a qualified commercial driver’s license and remain compliant with all regulatory requirements
  • Runs seed treater
  • Assist in warehouse where needed, be able to drive equipment such as forklift, etc. to assist in moving of inventory where needed, load and unload products (seed, chemical, etc.)

Supervisor Responsibilities
  • Provides guidance and direction to designated team members to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
  • Monitor team performance, offering feedback and support for continuous improvement to department, site, or location leadership
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, standards, and operational procedures
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in agriculture or a related industry, preferably in a hands‑on role such as a material handler, operator, CDL driver, agriculture customer service, or administrative support, with a proven track‑record of progression and ready to take on next level job responsibilities.
  • High school diploma or GED; may be offset by experience; agriculture or related degree helpful
  • Valid driver’s license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy
