Pay Range: $21.50 Per Hour – Paid Bi-Weekly. Bonus eligible - $2.00 shift night differential.
ScheduleThis position requires flexibility within shift patterns, particularly during the evening and overnight hours. Must be able to work any day of the week and adapt to schedule changes to align with business needs. You must be willing to work on a night shift schedule.
The RoleThis position is responsible for end‑to‑end factory logistics operations at the Covington manufacturing site, including inbound receiving of raw and packaging materials, production staging and returns, palletization of finished goods, shipping, inventory accuracy with cycle counts, and use of a warehouse management system to move and track inventory. The role is accountable for delivering and executing logistics safety, quality, cost savings, waste reduction, continuous improvement projects, and sustainability improvements.
Responsibilities- Inbound receiving of materials and finished goods.
- Scan, tag and inventory inbound receipts into the ambient, refrigerated, and frozen warehouses.
- Stage materials required to support production operations and manage the return of materials at the end of the production run.
- Inventory control and reconciliation with cycle counting, scanning, and accurate movement of inventory within the factory site.
- Manual and automated palletization of finished goods with state‑of‑the‑art equipment.
- Outbound shipping of materials and finished goods.
- Develop and document SOPs and training for information systems, programs, and best practices.
- Assist and support successful integration of system and procedural changes and initiatives at the Covington facility.
- Support departmental safety and housekeeping practices; maintain constant awareness of hazardous conditions and implement corrective action.
- Enforce all company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Participate in safety activities to achieve departmental and plant‑wide goals.
- Complete all scheduled training and assigned WCM activities for the Plant’s WCM initiative.
- Acquire proficiency in all logistics functions.
- Operate materials handling equipment (fork truck, pallet jack) after certification and periodic recertification.
- Maintain proper housekeeping, 5S organization, and GMP adherence.
- Run and document the SAP cycle count program.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma.
- Warehouse experience.
- 2 years of experience working with SAP or a similar inventory system.
- General manufacturing/shipping & receiving experience with 2‑3 years of experience in Word and Excel.
- Proficient data entry and mathematical calculations.
- Variable environment including office, mix room, and manufacturing floor with hazards such as moving machinery, chemical exposure, and heavy lifting. Tasks may require standing, stooping, moving equipment, bending, reaching, or lifting for prolonged periods. PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection, and sanitary footwear.
