Medical Receptionist - Surgical/Medical Weight Loss
Position Summary
As the first in-person point of contact for patients on behalf of the medical practice, the Medical Receptionist performs a broad range of front‑office duties. Responsibilities include greeting patients, answering phones and directing calls, assisting patients and families, scheduling, registration, charge entry, payment posting, batch balancing, cash reconciliation, and operating basic office equipment. This intermediate level position requires excellent customer service skills, discretion, good judgment, a pleasant and professional manner, and an articulate phone voice.
Internal and external contacts include patients, families, co‑workers, physicians and the general public.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of clerical and/or receptionist experience, or six (6) months in a medical setting
- Customer service experience
- Degree or relevant certificate (e.g., Medical Office Assistant, Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator) may be substituted for experience
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits, and paid time off. The pay scale is $22.07–$33.57 USD, with adjustments based on skill set, level of experience, and certifications. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale.
