Job Description

Repair and Tool Technicians are responsible for evaluating and repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment and handheld electrical devices. They make equipment recommendations and ensure units are maintained. Technicians work in both store Tool Rental Centers and repair centers. In store, they provide service to customers in Tool Rental, writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, checking tool operation, and demonstrating proper use.

In addition to supporting customer repair needs, they are responsible for day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department. In non‑store locations, technicians ensure units are repaired, tested for quality, cleaned, and returned to the originating store. Technicians must have thorough knowledge of all tools and effectively manage the tool inventory by maintaining and repairing them as necessary.

Vacation Details
  • Salaried associates are eligible for 2 weeks of vacation in their first year.
  • Full‑time hourly associates are eligible for 40 hours of paid vacation after six months of continuous service.
  • Part‑time associates are eligible for 20 hours of paid vacation after six months of continuous service.
  • Temporary associates are not eligible for vacation benefits.

  • Salary and temporary associates earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked.
