Job Description

We are currently accepting applications for Custodian positions.

10-month contract with possibility of extra duties during 2 summer months

Beginning salary $10.92/hr benefits after a 45-day probationary period.

Shift – 8hr. Early (6a-2:30p) or Late (Late morning to early evening)

Position Summary:

• Perform routine custodial duties at assigned school during an assigned shift; clean classrooms, restrooms, shower/locker rooms, corridors, and other assigned areas.
• Move and arrange furniture and equipment; set up and assemble chairs, tables, and other furniture and equipment for special events and activities; clean up furniture, equipment, and debris following these events.
• Assist with ground maintenance and snow removal activities as required.
• Clean light fixtures, windows, walls, furniture, blinds, carpet, and other related items. Strip, scrub, and refinish floors; frequency and timing to be determined by Site Head Custodian.
• Operate custodial equipment such as vacuums, mops, carpet cleaners, and blower as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Dependability and professionalism regarding assigned duties and work schedules.
• Must have excellent communication and “people” skills.
• Previous custodial/cleaning experience is a plus.

Physical Demands:
Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform the work such as dexterity of hands and fingers, walk or stand for extended periods of time, bending, kneeling, twisting, and reaching overhead, above shoulders, and horizontally, lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more, and push or pull moderately heavy objects.
