The City of Craig is hiring a Utility Clerk to support accurate utility billing and responsive customer service for our community. This entry-level, onsite, full-time role helps ensure accounts are maintained correctly and payments are processed on time.
Key responsibilities include:- Receive and post payments; balance daily cash/receipts
- Set up, update, and maintain utility accounts and related records
- Respond to customer questions in person, by phone, and in writing
- Prepare routine billing notices, reports, and correspondence
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve account discrepancies
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math, attention to detail, and strong data-entry accuracy
- Professional communication and customer-service skills
- Proficiency with standard office software; ability to learn billing systems
