Description: Looking for a motivated and enthusiastic team players to fill a Mathteaching position at the Moffat County HIgh SChool.

* Salary: Starting base salary is $51,000, actual placement on the salary schedule is based on experience and education.

Education and/or

Experience:

Minimum requirement – Bachelor's degree(B.A.) from an accredited four year college or university.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Eligible or already in possession of a Colorado Teaching License/certificate endorsed in Elementary Education.

• Plans a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the needs, interests, and abilities of students.
• Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
• Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals—established clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and the like to communicate these objectives to students.
• Employs instructional methods and materials (including field trips) that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives.
• Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required.
  
  Diagnose the learning disabilities of students on a regular basis, seeking the assistance of district specialists as required.
• Counsels with colleagues, students, and/or parents on a regular basis.
• Assists the administration implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct, and for the classroom, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure; maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
• Plans and supervises purposeful assignments of teacher aides and/or volunteers, and cooperatively with the principal evaluates their job performance.
• Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
• Attends staff meetings and in-service training programs and serves on staff committees as required.
• Maintains records and makes such reports as required and directed by the administration.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: The employee supervises students in the class, paraprofessionalsand volunteers.
