Location: Rangely CO 81648 with occasional travel to our Craig Campus.
Colorado Northwestern Community College is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Director of Student Life to join our team. This position is crucial for creating, maintaining, and promoting an engaging and positive on‑campus environment that fosters students’ academic success and social growth. The Director of Student Life will oversee all on‑campus housing residences, common spaces, manage the conduct process, and run campus‑wide programming and events, including Welcome Weeks and Homecoming.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and review the web pages for Student Life on the CNCC website.
- Maintain, review, and annually adjust the CNCC Student Handbook as needed.
- Actively participate in assigned departmental, interdepartmental, system, and regional committees and teams.
- Develop and manage a housing facility plan that addresses maintenance, repairs, and infrastructure needs.
- Manage auxiliary budgets for housing, ensuring responsible use of funds.
- Oversee the creation of access to local recreation centers.
- Supervise placement and reassignment of students in campus housing, manage meal‑plans with Campus Dining, and run the billing process for housing and meal plans.
- Collaborate with the Coordinator of Campus Safety & Security to ensure the safety of all Rangely Campus residents.
- Manage all student fees budgets, ensuring appropriate usage of funds for student activities, government, and clubs.
- Supervise and assist the Coordinators of Student Life in creating, promoting, and implementing engaging campus programming.
- Support case management for students and the development and promotion of wellness workshops.
- Assist in the planning and attendance of campus‑wide programming that fosters a sense of community among students, faculty, and staff.
- A commitment to adhere to federal, state, and national regulations, including ADA, Clery Act, FERPA, HLC, Title IX, and VAWA.
- Proven experience in higher education administration, student affairs, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and supervisory abilities.
