Summary

Looking for a motivated and enthusiastic team player to fill a Math teaching position at Craig Middle School.

Compensation

Starting base salary $51,000, with placement on the salary schedule based on experience and education.

Education and Experience

Minimum requirement – Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four‑year college or university.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Eligible or already in possession of a Colorado Teaching License/certificate endorsed in Elementary Education.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plans a program of study that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of students.
  • Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity.
  • Guides the learning process toward curriculum goals, establishing clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects.
  • Employs instructional methods and materials (including field trips) appropriate to stated objectives.
  • Assesses student accomplishments regularly and provides progress reports as required.
  • Diagnoses learning disabilities of students regularly, seeking assistance from district specialists as needed.
  • Counsels with colleagues, students, and parents on a regular basis.
  • Assists administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and develops classroom behavior rules.
  • Plans and supervises assignments of teacher aides and volunteers, evaluating their performance cooperatively with the principal.
  • Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
  • Attends staff meetings, in‑service training, and serves on staff committees as required.
  • Maintains records and makes required reports as directed by administration.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

The employee supervises students in the class, paraprofessionals, and volunteers.
