Job Title

Lead Preschool Teacher |

Director of Early Childhood

Job Summary

Preschool Teacher will provide the opportunity for all students to participate in a nurturing environment that promotes growth and wellness in the following areas:

  • Moving safely in a large group without bumping into others.
  • Performing movements to the rhythm of music.
  • Demonstrating the relationship of under, over, behind, next to, through, right, left, up, down, forward, backward, and in front of by using the body and an object.
  • Participating in activities that increase the heart rate.
  • Participating in activities that require stretching the muscles.
  • Demonstrating listening to the teacher during group activities.
  • Recognizing basic class rules and protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Hours and Salary

Work hours are 7:15 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday, or 7:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m., depending on preschool session schedules. Fridays are 7:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Salary: Placement in range depends on qualifications and experience. Classified Salary Schedule range is $24.32 to $37.69 per hour.

Education, Experience and Certifications

Must possess a Level 2 ECT Certification through Colorado Shines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Moving safely in a large group without bumping into others.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The employee supervises students directly as individuals, in small and large groups.

Salary/pay rate is determined based on qualifications and experience relevant to the job description requirements. Full pay range may be found on the appropriate salary schedule. Employees hired new into a position are rarely qualified to receive the maximum of the pay range shown on the salary schedule.
