Craig Middle School is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and team‑oriented candidate to fill the Volunteer Assistant Boys Basketball Coach position.

• Coordinate all basketball team levels.
• Develop and run summer and/or off‑season programs.
• Teach fundamental and advanced basketball skills.
• Assist in establishing expectations and a positive direction for the program.
• Track eligibility and academic progress of students.
• Prepare the team for competition.
• Attend all required meetings and maintain communication with parents, players, staff, and media.
• Maintain the general upkeep, protection, distribution, collection, and inventory of all equipment.
• Use school facilities and property appropriately.
• Follow district and CHSAA regulations and policies.
• Represent the school and district during interscholastic practices, meetings, and activities.
• Work within the framework of the school system’s goals, Board of Education policies, and departmental procedures.
• Follow rules, protocols, handbooks, district policies, regulations, and expectations.
• Adhere to FERPA guidelines regarding student information and confidentiality.
• Act as part of the MCSD team, handling all issues professionally, confidentially, and transparently.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous basketball coaching experience and/or knowledge of fundamental and advanced basketball skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Knowledge of CHSAA regulations or willingness to become knowledgeable.
• Ability to be part of a team environment.

• Knowledge of all aspects of Moffat County School District athletic/activity programming.
• Proven leadership qualities and successful experience working with students.
