Assistant Girls Volleyball Coach
Location: Moffat County High School
Date Available: August 2026
Salary: Salary commensurate with experience on our extracurricular pay scale
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist with conducting practices, motivating students, and instructing players in rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
- Organize and direct individual and small group practice activities/exercises as directed by the head coach.
- Assist with coordinating all levels of the program and summer/off‑season programs.
- Implement expectations and direction of the program.
- Prepare the team for competition.
- Communicate with parents, players, school staff, media, etc.
- Follow school and CHSAA regulations and policies.
- Represent the school and district at all times during interscholastic practices, meetings, and activities.
- Work within the framework of the school system’s goals, Board of Education policies, and department of athletics procedures.
- Follow all rules, protocols, and procedures as outlined in handbooks, district policies, and regulations.
- Follow FERPA guidelines regarding student information and confidentiality.
- Coaches will represent and handle all issues professionally, confidentially, and transparently.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous volleyball coaching experience and/or knowledge of the fundamental and advanced skills of volleyball.
- CPR/First Aid certified.
- Willing to be part of a team environment.
- Knowledge of Moffat County School District athletic/activity programming.
- Proven leadership qualities and successful experience working with middle‑school students.
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear; occasionally required to run; stoop and kneel; lift and/or move up to 50lbs; push items of 75lbs or more. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
Work EnvironmentCoaching time is mostly outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions. Noise level is usually moderate to loud. Work is acceptable and safe in this environment.
