Special Education Data Respondent

Assists the Director in the organization and maintains operational routines in the Special Education Department. Has primary responsibility for essential record keeping and in generation of essential reports. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The hourly pay range for this classified position is $23.61-$25.69.

Technical Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Strong oral and written English communication skills, including professional proofreading capabilities. Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to interact pleasantly, patiently, and cooperatively with a diverse community of students, staff, and families. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural, and educational backgrounds. Proficiency in computer operations and modern office practices. Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the role (adhering to FERPA/HIPAA guidelines).

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively, even with frequent interruptions. Self-motivated with a high attention to detail and a proven flexibility to adapt to changing environments or school district objectives. A genuine interest in supporting the education and well-being of youth in a public school setting.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent plus courses in office, secretarial, word processing and computer skills. More than one year of clerical and/or secretarial experience. Experience in a school environment is preferred. Experience in Special Education is preferred.
