License: ARRT registration in Radiology, including Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Certifications:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire or transfer)
Must-Have:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
Ability to operate equipment consistent with manufacturer’s recommendations
Description:
Provides diagnostic imaging services to patients using various imaging modalities.
Ensures accurate image acquisition, patient safety, and optimal patient care.
Prioritizes patient education, explaining procedures, equipment, and exams clearly.
Performs MRI procedures in accordance with protocols.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge in radiographic procedures including X-ray and Fluoroscopy.
Practices radiation safety, adhering to ALARA standards.
Troubleshoots equipment problems and independently calls for maintenance if needed.
Maintains accurate patient records in electronic health record systems.
May be required to perform other functions within the clinic.
Demonstrates flexibility by assisting in other modalities and adjusting schedules as needed.
Obtains additional training or certification as required.
Assists with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when necessary.
Assists, trains, or cross-trains imaging staff members as directed.
Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
Orders, stocks, and maintains supply inventory.
Maintains strict patient confidentiality at all times.
Completes all required annual education, training, and licensure/certification updates.
Maintains effective verbal and written communication with patients, staff, and vendors.
Adheres to organizational policies and procedures regarding attire and dress code.
Actively contributes to performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and follows infection control and safety procedures.
