Underground Coal Miner

JENNMAR Services, a staffing company specializing in employee placement for the energy industry, is currently seeking experienced and inexperienced underground coal miners for the Craig Colorado area. These are full-time positions with competitive salary and benefits available.

Basic Job Duties for Inexperienced Underground Coal Miner:

• Ability to rotate shifts on a 24/7 basis and work overtime as needed
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Ability to communicate with all levels of mine management and co-workers
• Ability to perform heavy labor
• Visually inspect work area for potential hazards
• Ability to perform fill-in duties for other workers as necessary
• Able to work independently without supervision
• Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks

Job Requirements Inexperienced Underground Coal Miner:

• MSHA Certification (Preferred) (We can train if necessary).
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Valid Driver's License and have reliable transportation
• Ability / willingness to work any shift assigned (days, swings and graves (Required)
• Must be 18
• Must be able to pass a drug screen, and background check.

Physical Requirements for the Inexperienced Underground Coal Miner:

• Ability to work up to 12 hour shifts, both days or nights
• Ability to routinely lift 80 pounds long distance
• Ability to kneel, bend and stoop down for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to work free of any medications, OTC drugs, or other supplements that impede concentrations, focus, judgment, observation, or otherwise perform all work tasks safely.

All duties and responsibilities must be conducted in a safe, clean and productive manner. It is a requirement to comply with all Health and Safety requirements established by JENNMAR Services.

Schedule:

Morning, Evening, Graveyard (required)

Compensation of the Underground Miner:

$28.00 - $37.50 per hour
