Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting a leading engineering business in the search for a Workshop Technician to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys fault-finding, repairing, upgrading and testing specialist equipment within a workshop environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customer equipment is serviced, repaired and returned to the highest standards of quality and performance.

As a Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for the repair, refurbishment, maintenance and upgrade of specialist equipment, along with associated mechanical components.

  • Diagnosing faults on mechanical equipment and tooling
  • Disassembling, inspecting and rebuilding equipment to manufacturer standards
  • Testing and calibrating equipment following repair
  • Completing workshop documentation and service reports accurately
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities across the workshop
  • Managing workloads to ensure customer deadlines are achieved

Training will be provided on Hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.

We are keen to speak with candidates who have a strong mechanical background and experience working with precision equipment, tools or industrial machinery.

  • Experience with in a workshop, manufacturing, maintenance or engineering environment
  • Strong mechanical assembly and repair skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
  • Competent using hand tools and workshop equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
