Banqueting Manager

About the Role  Our client is seeking an experienced and charismatic Banqueting Manager to lead their banqueting operations in Kimberley . You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquets and large-scale events, from initial client consultation and menu planning to seamless execution on the day. This role demands exceptional leadership, strong organizational skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.

You will be pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our client's reputation as a premier venue for banquets and events in the Kimberley region, ensuring client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities   Manage all banqueting operations, including staffing, setup, service, and breakdown for events.
Conduct client consultations to understand event requirements, preferences, and dietary needs.
Develop and execute detailed event plans, including timelines, staffing schedules, and operational procedures.
Lead, train, and motivate the banqueting team to deliver exceptional service standards.
Oversee inventory management for linens, tableware, and service equipment.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations within the banqueting department.
Requirements   Minimum of 4 years of experience in banqueting, event management, or a similar hospitality leadership role.
Proven experience in managing large-scale events and teams.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of food and beverage service standards and event logistics.
Ability to problem-solve effectively and make quick decisions under pressure.
Proficiency in event management software and standard office applications.
