Catering Supervisor - Functions

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Catering Supervisor to oversee the smooth execution of functions and events in Kimberley . This supervisory role involves leading a team of catering staff to deliver exceptional service, ensuring all aspects of food and beverage service meet the highest standards. You will be instrumental in ensuring client satisfaction by managing on-site operations, coordinating with kitchen staff, and maintaining a professional and efficient service environment throughout each event.

Key Responsibilities   Supervise and guide catering staff during event setup, service, and breakdown.
Ensure all food and beverage service is conducted professionally and meets company standards.
Liaise with clients and venue staff to address any immediate needs or changes during an event.
Monitor inventory of beverages and supplies during service, ensuring adequate stock levels.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in service areas.
Train and mentor junior catering staff on service techniques and client interaction.
Requirements   Previous experience in a supervisory role within the catering or hospitality industry.
Strong understanding of food and beverage service protocols.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure during busy events.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to catering operations in Kimberley .
