Event Catering Assistant Manager

About the Role  Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Event Catering Assistant Manager to join their team in Kimberley . This role supports the Catering Manager in overseeing the execution of all catering events, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction. You will play a key role in coordinating event logistics, managing on-site service teams, and resolving any issues that may arise during events.

Key Responsibilities   Assist the Catering Manager in planning and executing all aspects of catering events.
Supervise and manage event staff during service, ensuring adherence to service standards and client requirements.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and delivery.
Manage event setup and breakdown, ensuring all details are meticulously handled.
Handle client inquiries and requests during events, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Assist with inventory management and maintaining service equipment.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations during all events.
Requirements   Minimum of 2 years of experience in a catering, hospitality, or event management role, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
Strong understanding of event operations and customer service principles.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
