Experienced Electrician

Position: Experienced Electrician at Rising Edge Group

In this senior electrician role, you will report to the Site Supervisor and manage the maintenance and installation initiatives of substations operating between 13.8 kV and 500 kV. You will interpret complex electrical diagrams, safeguard compliance with safety codes, and actively train and lead Apprentices to enhance their technical skills and understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and troubleshoot complex electrical systems in substations

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Mentor and supervise Electrician Apprentices on site

• Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electrical equipment

• Ensure all operations comply with company and safety standards

Requirements:

• Journeyperson Electrician Certificate is required

• Minimum of 5 years related work experience in substations

• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and BC amendments

• Clean Class 5 Driver’s License and clear driving record

• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and at heights
